Government shutdowns and cutbacks have sent shockwaves through American society. With news of Snap benefits being on the chopping block, millions of Americans have expressed worry and grief. Food banks are bracing for impact as they are expecting to receive an influx of people in need of food; while some have expressed sadness and despair, others have expressed anger and rage. As a result of that rage, a National Boycott of the holidays is looming. The sentiment of if we can’t have what’s ours, support will be withdrawn from major corporations across the nation.
