Palmetto Star

Palmetto star is the prolific and often controversial host of the award winning podcast/ radio show 2RAW4TV. He is also an author, artist, and activist. Palmetto hails from South Carolina where his street trade of the state “trees” earned him the name Palmetto. His life has always read like an action movie and it wasn’t long before everyone was watching this film. As a respected rapper in his home state Palmetto ran into trouble with the law, not by drugs or guns, but by leading protests and demonstrations. It was always Palmetto’s mission to change the world and conditions around him. It was this mission that will lead him to great consequence. After a week of constant harassment by law enforcement, police pulled Palmetto over under dubious circumstances and tried to pull him out of the car. Knowing that the officers intentions were not the best Palmetto pulled off in the chase ensued 120 miles throughout the city of Columbia, South Carolina, only by a self proclaimed supernatural event did Palmetto survive and BEAT THE CASE. After he won the case he posted the police chase on Youtube which caused a viral frenzy, so much so Palmetto had to move from his state of South Carolina to Atlanta, Georgia. It was here that he and his team established the iconic radio show 2RAW4TV on November 4th 2010. Originally created to vocalize Palmetto’s grievances with law enforcement, it became an internet sensation starting with the very first episode. It quickly became a platform in which RAW candid voices from celebrities, grammy award winning artists, gurus, and even gangsters spoke their truth they hadn’t spoken elsewhere, all with a theme of grassroots empowerment. The demonstrations, protests, and movements introduced on #2RAW4TV have been heavily covered on mainstream media outlets such as CNN, FOX NEWS, & MSNBC. #2RAW4TV is a force of conscious cultural change. From introducing words like “Woke” into the public lexicon to influencing international elections Palmetto has used his infamy and influence to put a dent into the status quo. The tagline for 2RAW4TV was “The world will never be the same” and if you think about how vastly different the world was on November 4th 2010 and that 2RAW4TV has been there every step of the way, you know exactly why the revolution will not be televised, it’s 2RAW4TV!
