On Part II of Episode 28, Lady Mprez finishes up her discussion about how the current cultural energy needs a shift. She discusses boundaries needing to be made within how we deal with music. She talks about how music genres like Hip Hop, have expanded over the years and that it’s time for new genres due to so many infusions of music. “Why still call it Hip Hop if it no longer is fitting to the culture?” We shouldn’t be gatekeeping a weapon (music) so powerful to liberate the masses. We should be expanding the culture. She also slightly touches upon women being qweenz and agreeing with Phylicia Rashad when she did her interview on the Breakfast Club.
