America reacts to Trumps federal takeover of DC!

All hell broke loose on August 11, 2025, after Donald Trump announced a federal takeover of the Washington, D.C. police department under the D.C. Home Rule Act, deploying approximately 800 National Guard troops and federalizing local law enforcement to address violent crime, homelessness, and public safety issues.
The move involved increased arrests, clearing homeless encampments, and heightened military presence, sparking immediate controversy. Protest swept the city as many called for Trump to get the military out of the community. They called Trumps move “unconstitutional” and a complete overreach of the Federal government.
