She poses this question due to not being sure what it means these days to be “Black”. Is it a skin tone, is it an ethnic group, or is it a culture? She gets into certain layers of being from a predominantly black culture, yet black people from a non predominately-black culture are telling people they’re white-washed (is the term these days). She breaks down Haitians being the st independent Black and LATIN country in the Caribbean. She then discusses how all Black cultures have influenced and inspired another Black culture in some way.
